Molly Johnson

Molly Johnson joined The Children’s Clinic in 2018. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Arkansas State University in 2014. She then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Arkansas State University in 2018.

She has 4 years of nursing experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit prior to coming to The Children’s Clinic.

Molly grew up in Bono, AR and graduated from Westside High School. She and her husband have three wonderful children. They love spending time with family and being outdoors.

Jane M. Sneed M.D.

Dr. Jane Sneed joined The Children’s Clinic in 1993. She graduated from the University of Tennessee and was the chief resident at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sneed is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics, American Academy of Pediatrics-Fellow, Alpha Omega Alpha, and Craighead-Poinsett Medical Society.

Dr. Sneed and her husband Brian have three children.

Kevin G. Rouse, M.D.

Dr. Kevin Rouse joined The Children’s Clinic in May 2001. He earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, and received his M.D. degree from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Rouse did his residency in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital, both in Little Rock, Arkansas. He practiced adult and pediatric medicine in his hometown, Piggott, Arkansas, after residency, until joining The Children’s Clinic. Although trained as an adult and a pediatric physician, his heart was always in caring for children. This led to his decision to practice full-time pediatrics.

Dr. Rouse and his wife have two children. They are active members of Central Baptist Church where he teaches in student ministry and participates in missions. He especially has a love for Haiti and its people.

Dr. Rouse is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoys cycling and working out.

Charles E. Kemp, M.D.

As founder, Dr. Charles Kemp has contributed greatly to The Children’s Clinic’s growth over the years, making it one of the largest and most successful pediatric clinics in the state. Through his dedication to the well-being of children, Dr. Kemp also helped develop the clinic’s Child Development Center for treating children with learning disabilities and psychological problems.

Dr. Kemp acquired his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Medicine, Little Rock, Arkansas. Dr. Kemp interned and served as a pediatric resident at the St. Louis City Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, wherein he was ultimately appointed Chief Resident of Pediatric Services.

Dr. Kemp is the first graduate of the University of Arkansas Medical School to serve on the Board of Trustees for the University of Arkansas and has been a member for ten years. He is also a distinguished 1995 alumni of the College of Medicine at UAMS.

As a member of the First United Methodist Church, Dr. Kemp has served as Chairman of the Administrative Board. He has also served on many other committees, in addition to teaching Sunday School.

Dr. Kemp’s accomplishments are many, some of which are:

  • Organized and served as Chairman of the Oral Polio Sunday Campaign for Northeast Arkansas
  • One of the founding members of the original Head Start Program for Northeast Arkansas
  • One of the original participants in the Arkansas Crippled Children’s Program
  • Worked and aided in acquiring the Children’s Colony Chapter for Jonesboro
  • Founder and Co-Chairman of the Jonesboro High School Booster Club
  • Organized a Good Samaritan Clinic for low-income patients for Jonesboro
  • Founder and Co-Chairman of Friends of the Forum, a group who acquired and developed a civic center building for the Theater and Arts in Jonesboro
  • Founding member of the Jonesboro Council on Human Relations, a group that works toward better relationships between the races

Angela S. Edwards, M.D.

Angela Edwards, M.D.

Dr. Angela Edwards joined The Children’s Clinic in August 2005. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas and received her Masters in Biopsychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Edwards received her M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2000 and did her residency in pediatrics at the University of Kentucky at Lexington in 2003. She served as chief resident from 2003 – 2004 and practiced pediatric medicine as a faculty member of the University of Kentucky’s Department of Pediatrics before joining The Children’s Clinic.

Dr. Edwards grew up in Morrilton and is married to Dr. Clinton Edwards, a Nephrologist at Clopton Clinic. The couple has a daughter Abbey, who was born in 2003 and a son Adam, born in 2005. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Greg Buxton, M.D.

Dr. Greg Buxton joined The Children’s Clinic in May 2009.  He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Lyon College, before attending Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.  After completing his pediatric residency at the University of Missouri, Dr. Buxton moved to Pocahontas, his hometown, to practice at the Pocahontas Family Medical Center and the Family Medical Center in Corning.  For the seven years he worked at these clinics, he was the only pediatrician in either county.

Dr. Buxton began medical school intending to be a surgeon.  Everything began to change, though, early in training, after observing the kind and compassionate treatment of a young girl with sickle cell anemia by a distinguished pediatric oncologist.   Actually working with pediatric patients, later in medical school, confirmed the notion that he should be a pediatrician, and he has loved working with children since.

Special clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety, and learning disorders.

Dr. Buxton and his wife Nicole have three children.  He enjoys time with family, especially hiking and camping, woodworking, and photography.

Stephen Ashodian, M.D.

Dr. Stephen Ashodian is originally from California and attended the University of California, Davis where he graduated with a B.S. in Physiology, and then continued on to Ross University School of Medicine in the Caribbean country of Dominica where he received his Medical Degree.

Dr.  Ashodian did his Pediatric Residency in New York City at Long Island College Hospital/Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Ashodian then moved to Jonesboro in 2004 to begin his pediatric practice, originally starting at Pediatric Associates of Jonesboro where he practiced for 8 years and then in Oct. 2012 joined The Children’s Clinic. Dr. Ashodian is Board Certified in Pediatrics and he is married and has two children.
